Vedalam Review-Rating-Report-Ajith-Shruthi Haasan

After so much waiting, the much hyped Thala Ajith’s Vedhalam has arrived today making this Diwali occasion a celebration for Thala fans all over. The movie has come out after much anticipation and all the online medias were celebrating the movie’s updates widely.

So the story goes like this, Ajith playing the role of Ganesh, who comes to Kolkata for making his sister Tamizh taking admission in a college, Tamizh’s role is played by Lakshmi Menon. Then, we can see the melodramas that happen at the backdrop of this story. The bro-sis affection is very well materialised by the director as it would really make some people think of their siblings. So this affectionate brother Ganesh who comes with her sister to Kolkata who does anything for his sister and as he has an innocent behaviour with everyone they love him. Ganesh make his sister join the college where he start to work as a car driver in Kolkata.

As the film progress the brother-sisterly affection is widely seen enriching the movie in a sentimental mood. When the Kolkata Police is busy working hard finding the criminals in the city, they ask the help of the taxi drivers who could help them find out the criminals. Then one day, Ganesh informs the police about a guy who met after seeing the photos reports the police about their shelter. The police take over the criminals, who are actually the ones with the main Villain. The villain hopes to take revenge on the person who gave the information about his people and finally Ganesh gets caught in the villain’s hands. From here, as always like other movies Vedhalam too kick starts the usual revenge story where certain flashbacks has their sides to play. Then we can see the usual masala entertainer with fight sequences in abundance.

The first part was very much entertaining as the comic parts were in much prominence and the people in charge of that really amazed with their rendition. And to our surprise we can all see Shruti Haasan in her new shoes as she tried to be a character with comic elements this time.

As the film progressed to the second half, it could not keep its momentum as entertaining would have made the movie leap to the title of being a successful movie but the director fails to uphold its good start to the end. Maybe it’s because he tried to do those Telugu style masalas in Tamil which made the movie fall a bitter low and did not connect well with the audience. The film could not be promising as the director cum writer Siva failed to focus on the stardom of the star playing the lead.

And as always Ajith Kumar aka Thala Ajith ruled the screen as he was living the character, but as the director fails to bring out something new like the usual first part with not much impacts , the movie disappoints fans and other movie lovers in the second half as it was repetitive in nature. Other than this first half and second half the only thing that stood out about this movie is its climax scene as it was the only better element. Even though the second half was better than the first half the unwanted lagging destroyed the movie’s second half.

So overall the movie is fine till the interval scene that many acknowledged the interval scene to be heavy and mass. Coming to the movie’s overall rendition, the first part was entertaining and the tail end a disappointment which landed the movie in the title of being an average movie.
