Viewers even told me to quit from acting after watching Oru Vadakkan Selfie, says Manjima Mohan

Manjima Mohan was a popular child artist in Mollywood who had done many movies here while she was a child. Later she had made her debut here as a heroine through the movie named Oru Vadakkan Selfie, written by Vineeth Sreenivasan and directed by debutant G Prajith. Young Mollywood Star Nivin Pauly had played the lead in it and the film had become a blockbuster success of last year.

Still, Manjima Mohan had got lot of criticism related to her performance in the climax part of the movie. It was a scene in which her character gets emotional and starts crying. Her performance in that sequence was not impressed the viewers much. In a recent Interview with Manorama, Manjima Mohan said that people even told her to quit from acting after watching her performance in that climax sequence of Oru Vadakakn Selfie.

Manjima Mohan said that still there are many people who appreciated her as well. The team behind the movie was satisfied with her performance and she herself found nothing wrong in that part. But she said that the gap of 11 years before coming back to acting career really made it difficult for her to dub and also it was not easy to pull off an emotional scene.

She is now waiting for the release of her first Tamil movie named Acham Enbathu Madamaiyada directed by Gautham Menon and starred by Chimbu. In the Telugu version of the film as well she played the female lead. Naga Chaithanya is the male lead in the Telugu version.
