Drishyam was never an inspired or copied film says Jeethu Joseph

Director Jeethu Joseph had again said and clarified that his biggest success ever named Drishyam was never an inspired or copied movie from any foreign language films. Some critics said earlier that Drishyam had copied from a Korean film named Suspect X. But the fact of the matter is that both films have no connection at all. The only link is that both tells the story of a man who creates fake evidences to save a family. The similarity ends there. Even the theme is not similar to each other apart from that minute thread.

Drishyam had become the biggest ever success in Mollywood and this Mohanlal starrer is still there at the Number One spot among the all-time blockbusters of Mollywood. It had remade to 4 different Indian languages and now reportedly remaking to Sri Lankan language as well. Jeethu Joseph says that the only film he did after taking from a foreign language film is his Dileep film named My Boss. It was inspired from a Hollywood film named Proposal. Jeethu Joseph said that all other films he made was came from his thought and its original creations.

The thought of Drishyam or the element of Drishyam came to his mind when he was participating a in a family discussion when the talk of the love affair between a girl and boy who were very important to them came among them. That love affair had created problems between the concerned families but Jeethu Joseph said their family was in a confusion as to support which one as there is justice in both sides. That thought came in to the film.

Later when mobile came, he incorporated that in to the theme and after that a murder as well. Thus he developed the story in almost 12 year time and that finally conceived as Drishyam. He said that that’s why he is so confident about the originality of his film. If some not ready to believe it, then let it be like that. He had no problems.

Jeethu Joseph says that remake is not a crime and he also wonders why some people thinks that similar kind of ideas cannot come in the mind of two different people living in different parts of the world.
